I have slept a whole 30 minutes total tonight. I'm on month number two (or three, I can't remember) of six months of this stupid medication my doctor has me on. The side effects are RIDICULOUS. Drowsiness and/or insomnia (how can you have both?), stuffy and/or runny nose, drop in blood pressure if you stand up too fast (yes folks, that means I get dizzy and might faint), drop in blood pressure if you exert yourself (like go up the stairs), impaired thinking (Like I really need THAT), impaired reactions...oh, and I LOVE this one -
No problem. My job only requires me to drive hundreds of miles per month talking to clients about them spending up to millions of dollars per year with my company. No need to be awake and alert.
Hopefully if you have been around me at all the past two months you can't tell that anything is different. I try my best to not let on that the lights are on but nobody's home. In reality I'm about 70 - 75% these days, which mentally is a scary thing. My attention span is way short these days. I pretty much just forgot why I titled this post the way I did. Honest.
Of course, it is 4:30 in the morning.
There has got to be a song idea SOMEWHERE in all of this. I seem too busy with my drowsy insomnia to see it right now.

Oh yeah? Try sleeping in the trunk, which coincidentally is where I've been SINCE YOUR NASHVILLE TRIP!
So how did you type that comment?
Insomina, fatigue, impaired thinking, stuffy nose, dizziness...you're not pregnant, are you?
I don't want to sound like Tom Cruise but maybe you should figure out if the reason you're taking this medication is important enough to mess up your life like this. And to be honest, I WISH my brain was working at 75% capacity!
Becky - Uh...No.
Susan - Good point. Also, I meant 75% of normal brain usage, not 75% of capacity.
