Yet another resurrection, or 6 points that you may not understand unlesss you've followed this blog in the past (and even then you probably won't)

As I logged into my twitter account on the actual Twitter website (feel free to follow me: twitter.com/JRodMusic), I noticed a link to this blog.

Oh, yeah! I have a blog.

It has been over two years since my last post. Amazing how much things change, especially online. Here are a few tidbits that I noticed:

  1. Every blog in the widget to the right (yeah, just over there!) except for one has not been updated in about two years. I'm sure locations might have changed, but it looks like we all fell off the wagon together. Thinking that makes me feel better.
  2. I have a link to my Shoutlife page. Anyone been there lately?
  3. I have a link to a Myspace page. Ugh.
  4. I really miss the old WAJ discussion boards. The boards are dead. Long live the discussion boards.
  5. Apparently I memorialized signing up for Facebook on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 with two short blog posts, the first of which sounded very whiny.
  6. The Flying Monkey has stayed pretty quiet. Not sure what happened there.
As I read over several of the 201 past posts, I relived many of those moments. It was an interesting experience, yet kind of spooky once I realized that I was posting this for the whole world to see. Granted, I've only ever had 14,384 hits on the site, but the whole world COULD read it, if they wanted to.

Apparently, they don't want to.

And, so, (once again) I begin anew. I'm navigating a fresh chapter in my life, and this world is in a very different place.  My journey as a husband and father has been amazing. My journey as a songwriter has taken some promising turns. My journey as a business owner has been...um, unique.

No one may read this but me. Perhaps one of my friends will accidentally click an old bookmark or long forgotten RSS feed and land here. If perchance they do, I hope to make sense, to inspire, challenge, and excite.

I think I'll work on making sense, first. That and updating all the dead links and aging widgets around here.

I may ramble. I may bore. I may abuse the use of the parenthetical phrase, but I'm back...

...back to my little corner.
