Perspective

Last year at WAJ I was extremely nervous. I wasn't sure what to expect. Probably the greatest thing I gained was perspective. I truly saw where I was on this journey and how far I had to go. And boy, do I still have a LONG way to go.

I gained direction. I was not quite sure which way to go. It had actually been years since I devoted any meaningful time to songwriting. I've blogged about it before ( and am too lazy right now to link to the posts ;-) This coming year I intend to be totally "serious" (with a very stern face [hat tip to Allie!]) about songwriting. Not sure yet what my exact goals will be...depends on what other glaring voids I discover (or are pointed out in critiques!) during the next few days. I'm sure they will be plenteous.

This coming year I might even try pitching a song or two (or 30). It's ok, I'm in sales...I can take the rejection. Bring it on.
